A custom made and personal approach!

At Itinerary Iceland, we take pride in providing a custom made itinerary via a personal approach. In times of AI it is easy to create generic and automated itineraries, but they often lack depth and detail with a risk of missing hidden gems and opportunities that match your personal interests. Therefore we include at least one online call to create a personal contact in all our products. This allows us to map your interests and travel conditions. Discover our services on the Services page and get in touch. We will come back to you with payment details, a proposal for a meeting and any additional info you might want to know.

Main parameters we use to create your perfect itinerary:

Your travel company

Your travel company

Your travel company

The composition of your travel group will be an important parameter in our itinerary.  Wether you are traveling with young kids, teenagers or as a group or a couple of adults, we take the composition of your company in account when making your perfect itinerary.

Your travel dates

We base our itinerary on your exact date of arrival and departure, making sure the itinerary optimizes your time in Iceland. Traveling in summer or winter for example, creates different travel conditions, available hours of daylight, driving times etc, which we factor in in your itinerary.

Start and end point

Start and end point

The place of arrival and departure in Iceland will be set as start and end point of the itinerary. While most will arrive in Keflavik, you could also arrive in the airports of Reykjavik or Akureyri or via the ferry in the port of  Seyðisfjörður.

Your vehicle

Your travel mode in Iceland will impact your itinerary significantly. Are you traveling by bike, motorbike, 2WD car  or 4WD car or SUV? Your possibilities and itinerary will look completely different  depending on your vehicle of choice. Iceland contains many mountain roads that are limited to 4x4 vehicles. We plan your itinerary based on your vehicle of choice!

Your preferred type of accomodation will be used to plan the end point of the itinerary each and every day. Traveling with a tent? We will fit in overnight stops in towns with the more cosy camping places. Do you rather prefer cottages or luxury hotels? We will adapt the itinerary making sure the type of accomodation is present near each overnight stop.

It is perfectly possible to spend weeks in Iceland just driving around with limited physical effort. At the same time Iceland is also the perfect place for the more active traveler with hiking trails or activities like  snorkling, glacier walks, horse riding,... Or maybe you want to indulge yourself in the countless Icelandic  lagoons? We take in account your preferences when planning your trip.

Last but not least: Your budget! While the cost of living is generally high in Iceland, nature is truly the main eyecatcher and most natural attractions are still free to visit (apart from parking fees). At the same time it is also possible to spend a lot of money on activities and attractions if that fits in your budget. We take in account your travel budget when planning your trip.
